Since 2013, UthMpact teens have hosted shopping events for Project Prom in the spring and Project Homecoming in the fall to provide formal wear and accessories at no cost to high school students in need in exchange for signing a pledge to celebrate alcohol and substance-free. Our goal is to educate youth and parents about risky behaviors that can occur during this time.

UthMpact sponsors a store at Lakeland Square Mall during Prom and Homecoming seasons to offer dresses, suits, tuxedos, shoes, ties, belts, and other accessories to make these events extra special. 100% of our formal wear items are donated by generous community members. It is estimated that our efforts have served nearly 6,000 teens who may not otherwise have been able to afford a special outfit to wear to these important milestone events.

Community members may support this effort by donating gently used dresses, shoes, men’s suits, ties, and other accessories. Formal wear donations may be dropped off on the shopping dates at the Project Prom Store or at the InnerAct Alliance office on weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
